We are pleased to be exclusively partnering with a global consultancy operating in the tech space who are looking for a hands-on Head of Finance for a maternity cover contract for 12-15 months duration. Overseeing an autonomous team of 8 in the UK plus two smaller overseas subsidiaries, you will work very closely with the COO, CCO and the wider leadership team. This role is not strategic, but you will be responsible for providing direction and leadership to the team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Key responsibilities will be as follows:
- Managing global cashflow across 7 different banks
- Monitoring invoicing and unbilled with revenue managers
- Manage UK & subsidiary deadlines including VAT, tax instalments & other compliance requirements
- Coordinate the annual audit
- Prepare intercompany invoicing for all subsidiary entities & joint ventures
- Coordinate information for PAYE & R&D tax requirements
- Ensure regular management reporting and accuracy
- Be the primary contact for business unit and client teams and all external accountants for any accounting and tax queries
- Review and presentation of monthly management accounts & dashboard analysis
- Prepare & present cashflow analysis
- Prepare the base rates for internal rate card and monitor quarterly progress
- Work closely with COO to prepare quarterly forecast
- Prepare profit share calculations & forecasts when required
You will ideally be Qualified (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 4-5 years PQE, with exceptional data analysis skills gained in a multi-currency, global environment preferably within tech or professional services. You will also be proactive with a genuine interest in connecting people and the ability to quickly grasp a complete overview and knowledge of all company finance processes.
