Xenia Recruitment are looking to add experienced chefs to our pool of casual temps! We supply various venues and events across the North East plus provide the opportunity to work at major events around the UK, ranging from hotels and restaurants to sporting and music events.

Benefits & Pay:

  • Pay rates can vary based on the job role or sites.
  • Flexibility - choose your own hours and shifts.
  • We pay all of our team members weekly via PAYE starting at £15.50/hour and going up to £23/hour.
  • You will accrue holiday pay on top at 12.07% of your earnings.
  • Some events & venues will provide accommodation, paid travel & food allowances.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience - A minimum of 2-3 years professional chef experience.
  • Training - Food safety level 2 & allergen certificates at a minimum (can provide free of charge).
  • Location - Based in the North East, ideally with own transport.
  • Adaptability - Able to thrive and integrate into new fast paced environments.
  • Flexibility - willing to work varied shift times at varying locations (ideally able to work weekends & evenings and willing to travel).
  • Must possess own chef whites and knives.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Compliance - ensure any paperwork is completed and all regulations (food hygiene & safety, health & safety etc) are adhered to.
  • Execution - prepare, cook & present all dishes to a high standard and in line with specs provided by venues and management.
  • Direction - be able to follow instruction from the client and their team.
  • Equipment - be able to use, clean and maintain professional kitchen equipment.
  • Cuisine - possess in depth knowledge about various cooking techniques and cuisines.
