We have a team of
150 talented people pulling together to achieve our goals.
Everyone is trusted to take ownership, move fast and have a meaningful impact.
We prioritise personal and professional growth, keep things fun, and love to celebrate a milestone together.
In this role you’ll grow, be challenged and help shape the future of Xelix. If you’re excited about building something special with us, we’d love to hear from you.
About the role
We are looking for a hands-on, strategic
Head of Talent who has experience scaling talent acquisition in a high-growth technology environment.
This is a pivotal role for Xelix as we continue to grow across technical, commercial, and operational teams.
You will own the end-to-end talent acquisition strategy, combining strategic workforce planning with hands-on senior hiring.
You will partner closely with the executive team and hiring managers to ensure we are hiring the right people, at the right pace, while maintaining a consistently high bar.
This role is ideal for someone who has operated in a similar scaling environment — likely B2B Saa S, fintech, AI, or another fast-paced technology business — and who is equally comfortable building talent infrastructure, shaping employer brand, and directly sourcing and closing senior candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver Xelix’s talent acquisition strategy across technical, commercial, and business functions.
- Partner with the CEO, People team, and senior leaders to understand hiring needs, workforce plans, and organisational priorities.
- Lead hands-on hiring for senior and business-critical roles, including direct sourcing, candidate engagement, assessment, and offer management.
- Build scalable hiring processes that are effective, inclusive, data-informed, and aligned with Xelix’s values and standards.
- Support hiring across both technical and commercial teams, including engineering, product, sales, marketing, customer success, operations, and leadership roles.
- Coach and challenge hiring managers to ensure strong role definition, effective assessment, and excellent candidate experience.
- Develop and strengthen Xelix’s employer brand, helping us tell a compelling story to the market.
- Build talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs, particularly in competitive technical and senior commercial markets.
- Use data to track hiring performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve quality, speed, diversity, and candidate experience.
- Manage and optimise our recruitment tools, agencies, job boards, and hiring partners.
- Ensure every candidate experiences Xelix as thoughtful, ambitious, transparent, and high calibre.
- Contribute to broader People initiatives as we scale, including onboarding, leadership hiring, talent planning, and organisational design.
- What you’ll bring
- Significant talent acquisition experience in a high-growth technology business, ideally B2B Saa S, fintech, AI, or a similarly fast-paced scale-up environment.
- Proven experience hiring across both technical and commercial functions.
- Strong track record of senior-level hiring, including sourcing, engaging, assessing, and closing high-calibre candidates.
- Experience scaling hiring in a growing business, including building processes, improving capability, and supporting leaders through periods of growth.
- Strong understanding of employer brand and how to position a company effectively in competitive talent markets.
- Comfortable being both strategic and hands‑on — able to set direction, but also personally deliver critical searches.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise, challenge, and influence senior leaders.
- Strong judgement on talent, assessment quality, and hiring standards.
- Data-driven approach to recruitment, with experience using metrics to improve hiring outcomes.
- High ownership, pace, and commercial awareness.
- Clear, thoughtful communication style and a strong candidate-first mindset.
- A pragmatic, low-ego approach, suited to a scaling environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
- What success looks like
In this role, you will
- Build strong trust with senior leaders and become a credible partner on all hiring matters.
- Deliver high-quality hires across technical, commercial, and leadership roles.
- Improve the consistency, quality, and efficiency of hiring across Xelix.
- Strengthen our employer brand and candidate experience.
- Build the foundations for a scalable, high-performing talent function.
- Help Xelix attract the people we need to achieve our next stage of growth.
Why join Xelix?
This is an opportunity to have a significant impact at a key stage of Xelix’s growth.
You will work closely with the leadership team, shape how we hire, and help build the team that takes Xelix through its next phase of scale.
You will join an ambitious, collaborative, and high-performing environment where talent is central to our success.
If you are excited by building, scaling, and hiring exceptional people in a technology business with strong momentum, we would love to hear from you.
