Description Join us as a Trainee Accountant in either our Grimsby, Scunthorpe or Hessle offices, where you’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside seasoned professionals while studying for your AAT qualification. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your journey in a supportive and dynamic environment, building the skills and knowledge you need for a successful career in finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Limited company and sole trader accounts.
- Management of business and Self-Assessment Tax filings.
- Completion and submission of VAT returns.
- Liaising with clients and producing management reports.
- Conducting bank reconciliations and balancing sheet items.
- Undertaking bookkeeping tasks.
- General payroll duties.
Key Requirements
- Keen to pursue an accountancy qualification and an eagerness to learn.
- Minimum of grade C/5 in GCSE Maths and English.
Additional Requirements
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work methodically.
- Proficiency in Excel and basic IT software packages.
- A valid driving license and access to a car.
