The Offshore Lead will be responsible for implementing and managing the firm’s offshore operating model to support scalable growth and operational efficiency. The role will initially focus on transitioning work away from third‑party providers into owned offshore entities, building robust onboarding and operational processes and ensuring offshore operations align with business standards. The successful candidate will act as the key liaison between the business and offshore teams, ensuring offshore capabilities are embedded effectively. The longer‑term objective of the role will be to drive the broader adoption of offshoring across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures and governance frameworks relating to the use of offshore resources across the business.
- Drive the transition of work from third‑party outsourcing providers into internal offshore teams.
- Liaise with offshore offices to allocate suitable offshore resources aligned to business needs.
- Build scalable operational processes to support the smooth integration and ongoing management of offshore teams.
- Support the wider business in increasing the effective and efficient use of offshore teams.
- Work with our IT team to ensure effective systems and support for offshore offices.
- Partner with the People team to ensure an efficient talent acquisition and onboarding process.
- Work with our digital accountancy solutions team on process and workflow development.
- Create streamlined workflows and operational standards that ensure offshoring processes are efficient, consistent and minimally disruptive to the business.
- Establish clear service standards, communication protocol and escalation procedures between onshore and offshore teams.
- Manage end‑to‑end transition activities relating to the migration of work from third parties to offshore owned entities.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure transitions are delivered effectively, within agreed timelines and with minimal operational disruption.
- Monitor transition performance, proactively obtain feedback and implement corrective actions where required.
- Proactively encourage adoption and engagement across the business.
- Develop and maintain reporting frameworks to monitor offshore utilisation, performance, capacity, service quality and uptake rates.
- Produce regular MI and reporting packs for senior stakeholders, tracking operational performance, transition progress and any issues/risks.
- Support data‑driven decision making by identifying trends, opportunities and areas for improvement while ensuring reporting aligns with governance standards.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, offshore teams and senior leadership.
- Act as a central point of coordination for offshore operational matters.
- Experience managing or supporting offshore operations, outsourcing or shared service environments.
