As an Accounts Senior, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality accounting and advisory services to our diverse client portfolio. This position demands an approachable and professional individual who understands client requirements and delivers exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of MTD tax returns in Xero.
  • Providing support and advice to a portfolio of clients as they continue their MTD ITSA digital journey.
  • Finalising tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies; ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting and submissions.
  • Helping clients with tax planning.
  • Preparation and submission of year-end accounts, Corporation Tax Computations.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and established clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
  • Managing client expectations, arranging closing meetings to finalise accounts.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Handle client queries promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Deliver clear advice and insights to clients to meet their needs effectively.
  • Prepare and submit Self-Assessment Tax returns.
Key Requirements:
  • ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualification is required (part-qualified candidates or qualified by experience will also be considered).
  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice is advantageous.
Additional Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to understand client needs and deliver professional, high-quality service.
  • A dependable, self-motivated team player, able to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates high levels of confidentiality and adheres to professional ethical standards.
