As an Accounts Senior/Semi‑Senior, you will support the accounts team in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and management accounts for a portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and finalise statutory accounts and tax returns.
- Review and support trainees, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high‑quality outputs.
- Maintain strong client relationships, responding to queries with professionalism and a client‑first attitude.
- Organise your workload effectively to meet deadlines and prepare work for managerial review.
- Ensure accurate logging of chargeable time and support effective fee recovery.
- AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified (or actively working towards qualification). Those ‘qualified by experience’ will also be considered.
- Proven practice experience – Audit experience is desirable but not essential.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and detail‑oriented, with excellent time management.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive, fast‑paced environment.
- Hybrid working considered.
- Experience with cloud‑based accounting tools (e.g. Xero) is an advantage.
- A passion for delivering high‑quality service to SME clients.
