Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Admin and Bookkeeping Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to start a career in accounting and finance while gaining hands-on experience in an established practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and client enquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate client records and update the practice management system.
- Assist in preparing engagement letters, filing correspondence, and managing deadlines.
- Support the onboarding of new clients and maintain compliance documentation.
- Organise digital and paper filing systems.
- Provide general office support such as scanning, printing, and scheduling meetings.
- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping for clients using software such as Xero/QuickBooks.
- Record purchase and sales invoices accurately.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash.
Key Requirements
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 6 or above.
- No prior bookkeeping experience required, but an interest in accounting and finance is essential.
