The role of a Senior Bookkeeper is to provide an excellent service for clients by managing their financial records accurately and efficiently while creating and maintaining strong relationships. This role requires an individual with excellent attention to detail, a positive and professional approach, and a passion for helping businesses thrive.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing Bookkeeping / Management Account services for a diverse portfolio of clients that include Sole Traders, Partnerships and limited companies.
- Liaising with client managers as well as working directly with clients.
- Preparing & submitting quarterly VAT returns.
- Planning and completing a diverse range of assignments.
- Posting of Accruals, Prepayments.
- Reconciliation of control accounts.
- Posting of Journal Entries.
- Fully qualified AAT or CAT.
- Must have a robust knowledge of double entry.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Have experience with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Excel and VT +.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Comfortable working to deadlines.
- Minimum 2-3 years of Bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accountancy practice.
- Knowledge of Brexit will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Xero and other accounting technologies, with a love of technology and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Team oriented, collaborative, and client‑focused with a commitment to continuous personal development.
