Description
The Digital Accountancy Technologist is a hands‑on regional specialist responsible for delivering the firm’s digital accountancy strategy across a defined region.
The role combines technical delivery (migrations, integrations, licence management and reporting) with capability building (training Cloud Specialists and Cloud Champions), supplier engagement and client‑facing solution design.
The team’s purpose is to deliver, support and embed the Xeinadin Digital Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and day to day
- Own delivery of the cloud/digital accountancy strategy for your region and translate central plans into local, measurable outcomes.
- Proactively foster a cloud culture across regional offices.
- Assess client needs and design tailored cloud accounting and automation solutions.
- Lead and coordinate migrations from manual books and legacy systems to cloud platforms; provide hands‑on support during cutover and early post‑migration phases.
- Identify, train and mentor Cloud Specialists and Cloud Champions; oversee their development from consultation through configuration and installation.
- Maintain relationships with preferred suppliers; assess vendor products, coordinate supplier training and maintain required certifications.

- Key Requirements
Essential experience and skills
- Practical experience delivering cloud accounting solutions and digital transformation projects in an accountancy or professional services environment.
- Hands‑on familiarity with mainstream cloud accounting platforms (for example Xero, Sage, Dext and other platforms).
- Experience with migrations, integrations and automations.
- Competence with licence management and reporting; comfortable working with usage and activation metrics.
- Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to sell and tailor cloud solutions.
- Experience coaching and training colleagues.
- Good numerical and data‑handling skills; comfortable interpreting complex data.
- Minimum qualification: AAT Level 2 or equivalent; ACCA/ACA or similar desirable.
Desirable skills
- Experience with Project Management and project delivery.
- Experience with CCH covering Practice Management, Document Management, Accounts Production, Tax (PT/CT) and Oneclick.
