You will be responsible for delivering high-quality client services while managing and mentoring junior team members. The role is divided between overseeing client work and team development. The Bookkeeping Manager must ensure the timely and accurate completion of work, adherence to statutory regulations, and a high standard of service delivery. This position requires strong organisational skills, technical expertise, and the ability to lead a team in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver exceptional service to a portfolio of clients, meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client queries, maintaining and strengthening client relationships.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of client portfolios, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and statutory deadlines.
- Ensure timely and accurate receipt of client documentation to facilitate service delivery.
- Review work produced by junior team members to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Provide constructive feedback to junior team members, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and share expertise with the team to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Mentor and coach junior staff to support their professional growth and foster a collaborative environment.
- Identify opportunities for team development and process improvement.
- Effectively plan and execute work processes to align with client needs and statutory deadlines.
- Communicate challenges, opportunities, and ideas for process improvements to senior management.
- Adhere to all legal and statutory requirements, staying updated on the latest regulations and industry best practices.
- Accurately record chargeable time to optimise billable hours and meet financial targets.
- Represent Xeinadin professionally, upholding its vision and values in all work interactions.
- Manage two UK based staff (Bookkeeping Supervisor and Bookkeeper) and an outsourcing team of three individuals.
- Manage the deliverables of approximately 150 bookkeeping clients.
- Provide bookkeeping services for clients.
- Possess MTD ITSA awareness and experience.
- Review and submit VAT Returns.
- Review and submit CIS Returns.
- Manage and process the annual CIS recovered for all clients who are not Gross Status.
- Delegate work to the outsourcing team in India and review their completed work.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts/information for review and client meetings with senior managers.
- Previous work experience in an accountancy firm.
- Experience in the Construction and Property sectors is beneficial.
- Software experience: Xero, Excel and Sage essential. QuickBooks, CCH, CIS and payroll experience would be beneficial.
- AAT qualified or equivalent.
- Experience working in a practice environment.
- Familiarity with additional accounting software or apps.

- Pension: Employer contribution of 3% increasing to 3.5% from January 2024 with an employee contribution of 5%.
