Description

We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to join our Birkenhead office. This role is ideal for a client‑focused, technically strong accountant who enjoys building trusted relationships, managing a varied client portfolio, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses across a range of sectors
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering proactive, high‑quality advice
  • Review statutory accounts prepared by the team and ensure compliance with UK GAAP
  • Oversee corporation tax computations and liaise with tax specialists where required
  • Manage deadlines and workflow, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Support and develop junior and semi‑senior team members through coaching and review
  • Identify opportunities to add value and cross‑sell Xeinadin services

Key Requirements

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts and UK compliance requirements

Additional Requirements

  • Confident communicator with a collaborative, client‑first mindset
  • Comfortable reviewing work and supporting the development of others
  • Well organised, commercially aware, and able to manage competing priorities
