Description
We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to join our Birkenhead office. This role is ideal for a client‑focused, technically strong accountant who enjoys building trusted relationships, managing a varied client portfolio, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses across a range of sectors
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering proactive, high‑quality advice
- Review statutory accounts prepared by the team and ensure compliance with UK GAAP
- Oversee corporation tax computations and liaise with tax specialists where required
- Manage deadlines and workflow, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard
- Support and develop junior and semi‑senior team members through coaching and review
- Identify opportunities to add value and cross‑sell Xeinadin services
Key Requirements
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Proven experience managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts and UK compliance requirements
Additional Requirements
- Confident communicator with a collaborative, client‑first mindset
- Comfortable reviewing work and supporting the development of others
- Well organised, commercially aware, and able to manage competing priorities
