Description
We are currently seeking a Semi‑Senior Accountant to join our practice based in Honley on a full‑time basis (working hours to be discussed). This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with practice experience to join a supportive and growing team. The successful candidate will have experience preparing accounts and tax returns, along with strong client communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of accounts for limited companies
- Preparation of accounts for sole traders
- Corporation Tax returns
- Self‑Assessment Tax returns (not essential – training will be provided)
- Making tax digital for self‑employed (not essential – training will be provided)
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Bank reconciliations
- Reconciling balance sheet items
- Bookkeeping duties
- Producing management reports (not essential – training will be provided)
- Liaising with clients on a regular basis
Key Requirements
- AAT qualified or currently working towards AAT
- A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
Additional Requirements
- Experience using Microsoft Excel
- Experience with cloud‑based accounting software, particularly Xero (preferred but not essential – training will be provided)
