What will you be doing? As a Project Engineer (Concrete) for XEIAD, part of BES Infrastructure, you will be responsible for planning and leading concrete testing site works including liaising with clients, subcontractors and 3rd parties to ensure projects are completed on time and in full. In addition, you will train other inspection staff to be able to undertake concrete testing to UKAS standards.

You Will:

  • Perform standard concrete tests, such as cover meter surveys, half-cell potential, resistivity, carbonation, chloride testing and coring.
  • Record and analyse test results, preparing detailed technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Manage the company’s concrete testing UKAS accreditation, including maintaining procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance and leading preparation for and delivery of annual UKAS audits.
  • Train, mentor and provide technical support to inspectors and technicians in concrete testing methods, procedures and reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to address any concrete-related issues.
  • Assist in inspection work during periods of low concrete testing demand to enhance versatility and team support.

  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 standards.
  • Proven experience in concrete testing within a construction environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant testing standards and regulations.
  • Be prepared to travel and work nationwide.
  • Full UK Driving license.
