Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Plumbing and Heating across a range of Further Education programmes for learners aged 16–19 and adult learners. The successful candidate will support learner achievement, progression and employability while maintaining high standards of teaching and industry practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging theoretical and practical lessons in Plumbing and Heating qualifications at Levels 1–3.
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and teaching resources in line with curriculum requirements.
- Assess learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement to support positive outcomes.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of individual learners, including those requiring additional support.
- Promote safe working practices within workshop and classroom environments.
Assessment & Quality Assurance
- Carry out learner assessments in accordance with awarding body requirements.
- Maintain accurate learner records, progress tracking and assessment documentation.
- Participate in internal verification and quality assurance processes.
- Support learners in completing practical assessments, portfolios and assignments.
