Job Purpose We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Electrical Installation Lecturer to join our team in Nottinghamshire on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and training across a range of Electrical Installation programmes, supporting learners to achieve industry-recognised qualifications and progress into employment or further study.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in Electrical Installation
Teach both theoretical and practical elements of electrical installation
Assess learner work and provide clear, constructive feedback
Track and support learner progress, attendance, and achievement
Maintain accurate learner records in line with awarding body and organisational requirements
Ensure compliance with health & safety, safeguarding, and quality standards
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement activities
Act as a course tutor where required, providing academic and pastoral supportEssential Requirements
Experience teaching or training within an educational setting (e.g. FE college, training provider, apprenticeships)
Strong industry experience in Electrical Installation
A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one, such as:
PGCE or Cert Ed
Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET)
Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)
Relevant industry qualifications, including:
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
AM2 / AM2S
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
Up-to-date knowledge of current electrical regulations and industry practices
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skillsDesirable
Experience delivering apprenticeship programmes
Assessor and/or Internal Quality Assurance qualifications (A1/CAVA, TAQA, IQA)
Experience working with awarding bodies and quality frameworksWhat We Offer
