Job Title: Healthcare Assistant (Epilepsy Support) Location: Pulborough Start Date: ASAP End Date: 20.06.25 Hours: Monday – Wednesday, 9:00 am – 3:45 pm Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support a student with Epilepsy. The student has a Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) device fitted and may require the administration of Buccal Midazolam as part of their care plan. Key Responsibilities: Provide dedicated one-on-one support to a student with Epilepsy during college hours. Administer Buccal Midazolam as needed, following all safety and protocol guidelines. Monitor the student for seizure activity and respond promptly to any emergencies. Assist with VNS device management in coordination with healthcare guidelines. Collaborate with college staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.Required Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, ideally in an educational setting. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with Epilepsy, including familiarity with seizure protocols. Experience administering Buccal Midazolam. Knowledge or experience with VNS devices is preferred.
