A leading engineering and technical training provider is seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Key Account & Employer Outreach Executive to support continued growth across the engineering and manufacturing sectors. The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key employer accounts, and identifying workforce development solutions for engineering and manufacturing organisations. The role combines business development, account management, employer engagement, and consultative sales activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Identify and pursue new employer partnerships within the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
- Generate opportunities for apprenticeship, technical training, and workforce development programmes.
- Deliver tailored proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
- Key Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing employer accounts.
- Identify opportunities to expand training provision and services.
- Conduct regular client review meetings to understand workforce development needs.
- Training & Apprenticeship Solutions
- Promote the organisation’s full range of apprenticeship and commercial training programmes.
- Support the development of bespoke training solutions for employers.
- Contribute to the management and growth of larger training contracts.
- Employer Engagement
- Attend networking events, exhibitions, and industry conferences.
- Support targeted employer outreach and engagement campaigns.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, and operational teams.
- Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate records within the CRM system.
- Monitor pipeline activity, conversion rates, and revenue performance.
- Produce regular reports on business development and account activity.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be:

Essential Requirements
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong written, verbal, telephone, and email communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve challenging targets.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Commitment to health & safety and equality within a diverse workplace.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to work to quality and compliance standards.
- Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check.
Desirable Experience
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Business Administration.
- Experience within education, apprenticeships, or training environments.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Experience supporting or managing external events.
