We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Childcare Assistants to join our team at First Steps Childcare Nursery, based at our Brinsbury Campus near Pulborough, West Sussex. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young children’s development in a nurturing, high-quality early years environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Support children’s development through play-based learning and structured activities
- Ensure a safe, caring, and inclusive environment at all times
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents/carers
- Contribute to planning, observations, and assessments
Working Hours
- 7.5-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30am and 6:00pm
- Full-time and part-time roles available
- Part-time applicants must be able to work full 7.5-hour shifts on their working days (e.g., not shorter school-day hours)
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (mandatory)
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and child development principles
Important Information
Candidates who do not hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification will not be considered for this role.
