We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate early years professional to lead a room, support staff, and provide high-quality care and education for children in a nurturing environment. This is a temporary contract while a permanent staff member is hired.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a designated nursery room, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
- Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Support and mentor room staff, promoting teamwork and professional development
- Monitor and record children’s development, maintaining accurate observations and assessments
- Build strong relationships with parents/carers and communicate effectively about children’s progress
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)
- Valid DBS registered on the Update Service (UDS)
- Previous experience in a similar role or strong experience within an early years setting
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Sound knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
