Job Title: Careers Advisor – College (Temp to Perm) Location: Slough Pay Rate: £21 – £24 per hour Job Type: Full Time, Temp to Perm Overview A further education college in Slough is seeking an experienced and dedicated Careers Advisor. This full-time temporary-to-permanent position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students’ progression and employment ambitions. Key Responsibilities Deliver one-to-one and group career guidance sessions to students Advise on progression options including further education, apprenticeships and employment opportunities Support students with CVs, applications, interview preparation and job search strategies Plan and deliver employability workshops and careers presentations Maintain accurate records of all interactions and student outcomes Liaise with teaching staff and external stakeholders to support student progression Participate in careers fairs, open days, and other college eventsEssential Requirements Level 6 IAG (Information, Advice and Guidance) qualification Enhanced DBS (must be valid and up to date) Previous experience in a careers advice and guidance role (ideally within FE/education) Excellent knowledge of education, training and employment pathways Strong interpersonal and communication skills Able to engage and support learners from diverse backgroundsBenefits Competitive hourly rate (£21 – £24 per hour) Long-term temp to perm opportunity Supportive college environmentHow to Apply To apply, please send your CV along with a brief summary of your relevant experience and qualifications.
