Job Description

Painting & Decorating Lecturer – Full-Time, Permanent – HackneySalary: £40,000 – £49,000 (depending on experience)We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Painting & Decorating Lecturer to join our team in Hackney. This full-time, permanent role involves teaching and assessing learners aged 14–19 and adults across Entry Level to Level 3 courses.Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment of Painting & Decorating courses
  • Support learners’ development in both practical skills and theoretical knowledge
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Curriculum Manager and other team members
  • Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to curriculum enhancement
  • Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with varied educational backgrounds and support needs

Person Specification:

  • Relevant qualifications and hands-on experience in Painting & Decorating
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one
  • Commitment to creating positive educational opportunities for learners, including those with additional support needs or past challenges in education
  • Ability to apply specific skills and technical knowledge related to the role
  • Willingness to keep up-to-date with new materials, technologies, procedures, and techniques
