Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Xebia, you will be joining a dynamic DevOps Engineering team in a high-energy and collaborative environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned DevOps engineer who thrives on leading project planning efforts, architectural design, and implementing cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a DevOps culture among peers and developers.
  • Design, build, and support product platforms.
  • Consult, design, build, and support development pipelines; automate infrastructure and operations.
  • Create telemetry for monitoring and engineer for high reliability.
  • Ensure the security of company data by reinforcing best practices.
  • Perform systems administration with a focus on stability, security, performance, and capacity management.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate them effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with management, senior engineers, and various teams (QA, Product/Business).
  • Provide excellent customer support and troubleshoot issues.

Core Requirements

  • 5+ years in enterprise-level cloud design.
  • Hands-on experience with Scala.
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher).
  • Strong experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Integration experience with AWS services (DynamoDB, Lambda, EC2, ECS, EKS, Kinesis, IAM, Firehose).
  • Experience with build/deploy tooling: Terraform, CDK, Spinnaker, Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Python.
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools: OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Datadog, PagerDuty.
  • Strong background in scripting and automation (Ansible, Puppet, PowerShell).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of additional cloud platforms like GCP or Azure.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL databases (Redis, DynamoDB).
  • Experience with storage solutions (S3).
  • Experience with high availability and disaster recovery architectures.
