Supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities & Complex Health Needs
Our client is seeking an experienced Cook/Chef to join a friendly and established kitchen team within a specialist residential care setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals as part of a holistic care approach for 10 residents with profound learning disabilities and complex health needs.
The Role
As Cook/Chef, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals for residents and staff. Meals may need to be adapted to accommodate varying dysphagia (swallowing) needs, including bite-sized or puréed options. Full training and support will be provided by the in-house Therapy team.
You will work both independently and as part of a small team, contributing positively to the wider Care team and resident experience.
Hours:
- 24-32 hours per week
- 3 or 4 days per week
- Shift rota basis, including weekends
- Bank Holidays and festive periods shared fairly (average 2 weekends per month)
Pay: Up to £13.43 per hour
