Our highly valued care provider is offering a permanent, full-time contract to a dedicated and passionate care team leader to cover day shifts. Our clients small and friendly residential care home offers permanent and respite care to elderly residents and specialises in dementia care, or dementia type illnesses. Following there most recent CQC inspection the residential care home has been rated ‘GOOD’. This role would also be ideal for a strong senior care assistant eager to take a step up into a care team leader position. Position: Healthcare Team Leader As a care team leader, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of healthcare assistants to ensure the provision of high-quality care and assistance to our clients’ residents. In addition to the responsibilities of a care assistant and senior care assistant, you will oversee the daily operations of the care team, coordinate care plans, and act as a point of contact for the residents and their families. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and make a positive impact on the well-being of our clients’ residents. This role would also be ideal for an experienced and motivated senior care assistant who is eager to take the step into a care team leader position. Key Responsibilities: * Leading and supervising a team of healthcare assistant and senior care assistants. * Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting. * Administering medication in accordance with the prescribed guidelines. * Supporting residents with daily activities, such as meal preparation, eating, and mobility. * Monitoring and recording residents’ vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff. * Providing emotional support and companionship to residents. * Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents. * Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care. Requirements: * Minimum of NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care required, candidates who are working towards this are also encouraged to apply. * Prior experience in a care setting or similar role is preferred. * Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly individuals. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong leadership abilities and the ability to work effectively within a team and independently. * Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. * Respect for privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
