Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant ready to step into a senior role within a supportive and specialised care environment? We are currently recruiting two full-time Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our established care team, one for day shifts and one for nights.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a purpose-led care service that goes beyond the basics, offering personalised, 24-hour care to individuals with complex physical and mental health needs.

About the Service:

Our client provides expert support to adults with a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Bipolar / Manic Depression
  • Psychosis and Complex Behaviour
  • Huntington's Disease
  • Acquired Brain Injuries
  • Korsakoff Syndrome
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Schizophrenia

Our client focuses on person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, and quality of life. The home offers shared living and dining spaces, social activity programmes, and a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading by example and supporting the wider care team
  • Assisting with care plan implementation tailored to each resident's individual needs
  • Supporting individuals with complex physical and mental health conditions
  • Promoting resident dignity, choice, and independence at all times
  • Carrying out clinical observations (as appropriate to training)
  • Working closely with nursing staff and external healthcare professionals
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping using digital care planning systems

What We're Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (essential)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in care, preferably in a similar specialist environment
  • Compassionate, proactive, and confident in leading or mentoring junior carers
  • A strong communicator with a focus on delivering safe, respectful care
  • Able to work 42 hours per week on either a day or night rota
