About the Setting
We are a unique and nurturing early years setting offering holistic childcare for children aged 18 months to 5 years. Our approach is rooted in nature-based learning, sustainability, and child-led development, combining elements of Montessori practice with outdoor learning experiences. The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the setting. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong leader who is committed to delivering high-quality early years education while fostering a positive, supportive environment for both children and staff. We also welcome applications from experienced Deputy Managers who are ready to take the next step into a Nursery Manager position, with the support and development needed to succeed in the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily running of the nursery, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and well-organised environment
- Ensure full compliance with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of practitioners
- Oversee the planning and delivery of a high-quality, child-led curriculum
- Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and wellbeing
- Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
- Support staff development through mentoring, supervision, and training
- Manage administrative duties, including record keeping and operational processes
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 or above desirable)
- Experience in a management or senior leadership role within a nursery (Deputy Manager experience considered)
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks
- A passion for outdoor learning and holistic child development
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- A proactive, nurturing, and professional approach
