Registered General Manager Nursing Home

Salary: £70,000£75,000 per annum + up to 20% performance bonus
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, full-time

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced NMC-registered nurse and CQC Registered Manager to take overall responsibility for an established nursing home.

The home has a strong occupancy level, an experienced team and an established reputation.

The successful candidate will not simply be expected to maintain the status quo but will have the opportunity to shape the service, develop the team and influence its future direction.

You will have significant autonomy, with direct access to the senior leadership team and the opportunity to put your own ideas into practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the clinical, operational and commercial performance of the home.
  • Leading and developing the management and care teams.
  • Maintaining excellent CQC compliance and clinical governance.
  • Driving quality improvement and ensuring continuous inspection readiness.
  • Maintaining a high standard of resident and family experience.
  • Managing occupancy, referrals, budgets and operational performance.
  • Developing a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
  • Building strong relationships with families, professionals and the local community.
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation and service development.
  • Ensuring person-centred care remains at the heart of the service.
  • What They Are Looking For

The successful candidate will need

  • Active UK NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Proven experience as a CQC Registered Manager within a UK nursing home.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical governance.
  • Proven leadership and people-management experience.
  • A track record of maintaining and improving care quality.
  • Experience managing occupancy, referrals, budgets and overall service performance.
  • Confidence, sound judgement and the ability to make decisions.
  • A genuine desire to improve and develop the service rather than simply maintain it.
