Our client is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join their care team. This role focuses on enhancing residents' quality of life by organising meaningful activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical wellbeing within a senior care environment.
The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities that encourage residents to participate, socialise, and maintain a sense of independence and enjoyment. The successful candidate will work closely with care staff, residents, and families to ensure activities are tailored to individual needs and interests.
Key Responsibilities- Organise and deliver a variety of stimulating activities that support residents' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
- Encourage resident participation and promote social engagement within the home.
- Work collaboratively with care staff, healthcare professionals, and families to tailor activities to individual preferences and abilities.
- Monitor residents' responses to activities and adapt programmes where necessary to maximise enjoyment and participation.
- Maintain clear and organised records of activities, participation levels, and feedback.
- Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in a care home, assisted living, or similar environment is desirable.
- Experience organising activities or supporting resident engagement is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to engage with individuals with varying cognitive abilities, including those living with dementia.
- A compassionate and positive approach with a genuine passion for improving the lives of older adults.
Hours: 25 or 30 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Days
Typical Hours: 10:00am - 3:00pm or 10:00am - 4:00pm
