We are working in partnership with a leading independent healthcare provider to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist for a low secure service in Chesterfield. This modern and purpose-built facility provides expert care for adults with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs.
About the Service
- A 12-bed low secure unit and a 1-bed bespoke pod
- A skilled multidisciplinary team (MDT) including nursing, psychology, OT, and social work professionals
- A strong focus on individualised treatment, recovery, and successful community reintegration
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership across the service
- Manage and review comprehensive treatment and risk management plans
- Collaborate with the wider MDT and external stakeholders (including commissioners)
- Contribute to regional service improvement initiatives
- Participate in non-residential, second on-call rota
Requirements
- Full GMC registration with a valid licence to practise
- CCT or equivalent in psychiatry (LD or forensic experience preferred)
- Proven expertise in supporting patients with complex mental health and/or learning disabilities
- Strong leadership, clinical, and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative, team-based approach to care
