Our client, a well-established nursing home in Burton-on-Trent, is currently seeking a passionate Cookto join their kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a care-focused environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for elderly residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with our client\’s menus, tailored to meet residents\’ individual dietary needs.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety in line with regulatory requirements (CQC, Environmental Health).
• Collaborate with care staff and Chefs to ensure a positive dining experience for residents.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and effective stock rotation.
• Assist with menu planning and food ordering as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Cook in a care home or nursing home setting is not essential although beneficial.
• Understanding of varied dietary requirements, allergens, and texture-modified diets.
• Ability to work with the Chefs as part of a team.
• A compassionate approach and commitment to enhancing the lives of older people.
