- Description
- About Xe
Xe is a cross-border payments platform.
We help SMEs and consumers in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand collect, convert, hold, and send money across markets.
Each year, over 300 million people use Xe for currency information and over 350,000 use us to send money overseas.
Today, we're rebuilding the platform layer behind cross-border payments for corporate and consumer clients.
We're small enough that your code ships fast and your decisions matter, and Euronet Worldwide (Nasdaq: EEFT) backs us so the problems stay real-scale.
About This Role
We're looking for a senior frontend engineer to help build and shape the user-facing side of our products.
You'll bring deep expertise in modern frontend development, a strong sense of clean architecture, and a collaborative mindset.
Beyond writing high-quality code, you'll mentor other developers, drive technical direction, and work closely with designers and stakeholders to deliver intuitive, polished interfaces.
This is a hands-on role for someone with at least five years of experience who takes ownership of code quality and enjoys raising the bar for the whole team.
If you're proficient in Vue 3+, that's ideal, but we're equally interested in strong React or Angular engineers who are excited to make the switch.
Experience in payments, FX, or other regulated industries is a plus.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain high-quality, maintainable frontend applications using Vue 3+ and Type Script.
- Architect scalable frontend solutions with clean code practices.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and uphold high standards for code quality across the team.
- Mentor fellow developers on best practices, architecture, and clean coding habits.
- Style and build responsive, accessible interfaces using modern Tailwind CSS, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Write and maintain unit & integration tests with Vitest.
- Work with modern build tooling and bundlers such as Vite.
- Collaborate closely with designers to translate UX/UI concepts into visually appealing, intuitive experiences.
- Partner with engineers and stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to and helping guide the team's technical decisions.
- Leverage AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Copilot to work more effectively.
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, helping align both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Must-have
- 5+ years building production software.
- Proficiency in Vue (3+), or strong experience in other major frontend frameworks (React, Angular) with the desire to switch to Vue.
- Strong knowledge of Type Script.
- Strong clean code habits.
- Strong architectural knowledge of frontend architecture and OOP/OOD.
- Strong code review skills.
- Experience mentoring other developers regarding best practices and code quality.
- Experience with modern Tailwind CSS.
- Experience with writing unit tests using Vitest or Jest.
- Understanding Java Script build tools and module bundlers like Vite/Rollup/Webpack.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles and the ability to collaborate closely with designers to create visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and effective collaboration with other developers and stakeholders.
- Experience or open mindset for using AI coding tools like Claude Code, Copilot etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to align engineers and stakeholders around a technical direction.
- Nice-to-have
- Experience with Post CSS/SASS/SCSS or similar CSS technologies for styling and optimizing UI components.
- Knowledge of e2e testing frameworks such as Playwright.
- Experience with Storybook for component-driven development and UI documentation.
- Payments, FX, or regulated-industry experience.
