We provide a comprehensive range of currency services and products, including our Currency Converter, Market Analysis, Currency Data API and quick, easy, secure Money Transfers for individuals and businesses. We leverage technology to deliver these services through our website, mobile app and by phone. Last year, we helped over 300 million people access information about the currencies that matter to them and over 225,000 people used us to send money overseas.
We are currently looking for a Risk Manager to join our growing team who will be responsible for managing a team that executes key deliverables within Xe’s risk function such as the annual risk assurance plan, enterprise risk analysis, local risk reporting, internal vendor management risk assessments, and oversight of operational incidents, whilst always looking for ways to improve processes.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Risk Assurance: Management and execution of the annual risk assurance plan, including but not limited to assigning reviews to team members, providing support and guidance on reviews, reviewing draft reports before submission, and performing risk assurance reviews. Identify opportunities through risk assurance work to support the improvement of processes and risk mitigation across Xe globally. Work with business stakeholders across Xe globally to ensure timely remediation of issues identified during risk assurance reviews. Oversee the completion of quarterly Local Risk Reporting (LRR), including presenting LRR to applicable Boards and Senior Management. Oversee operational incident management policy and process. Support the administration and execution of the annual enterprise risk analysis process. In coordination with the Risk Director of the Money Transfer segment, provide risk input, guidance, and support to the Xe Programme Management Office (PMO) on new programmes and projects across Xe globally. Ensure Xe’s policies and procedures for the management and oversight of third parties are being adhered to, including conducting internal vendor management risk assessments of new and current third-party providers.
- Risk Oversight and Guidance: Support the growth of the risk culture throughout Xe globally through an ongoing training program. Liaise with external auditors on completion of external audits and support management responses. Coach and develop risk team members.
Position Requirements
- Experienced in scoping and completing risk assurance reviews, including testing, sampling, and reviewing processes to mitigate risk.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence and support senior stakeholders globally.
- Experience in developing and writing risk management policies and procedures.
- Experience in team management.
- Professionally qualified with either a Risk Management or Internal Audit qualification (preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information and identify issues.
- Good understanding of financial services and payment services regulations, along with the EBA outsourcing guidelines and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
