About us:

XCMG UK Sales and Services Limited is a subsidiary of XCMG Group, one of the world’s leading construction machinery manufacturers. Our brand-new, young, and international team is looking forward to your support. If you're seeking a dynamic, diverse work environment and the freedom to bring your own ideas to life — then you’ve come to the right place.

We are currently looking for a Crane Service Engineer to join our growing service team. You will be responsible for carrying out effective maintenance, inspections, and repair work on crane equipment—including all-terrain, rough terrain, and crawler cranes—either at customer premises, onsite, or at our depot when needed. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that service quality and timelines are consistently met, boosting customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty, all while delivering exceptional service and maintaining high technical standards.

Your tasks:

  • Performing diagnosis, servicing, and repair of electrical systems, hydraulic components, and diesel engines (including ECU software uploads/downloads)
  • Conducting inspections and maintenance of all-terrain, rough terrain, and crawler cranes at customer sites, on-site locations, or at the depot
  • Working safely at heights and in accordance with all company and regulatory health and safety protocols
  • Managing your own time effectively to meet service deadlines and customer expectations
  • Collaborating closely with the Technical Team for ongoing support and training
  • Handling warranty and return parts processes, ensuring timely, clean, and correctly labelled returns
  • Reading, understanding, and maintaining accurate service documentation
  • Building strong working relationships with depot support teams and customers
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and customer-satisfactory work environment after each job
  • Upholding a professional image at all times, including personal appearance and vehicle condition
  • Proactively seeking opportunities to develop personal skills and apply new knowledge in the field
  • Providing technical support and training to customers and team members as needed

Your profile:

  • A technical qualification or formal training in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Valid Slinger and CSCS certifications
  • A strong team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels, including with customers and internal teams
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work, including occasional travel as required
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software (advantageous)
  • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • A commitment to high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism

We offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits;
  • Training and personal development;
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative and international environment;
  • Personal and professional development opportunities and ongoing on-the-job training;
  • A culture with flat hierarchies, simple communication and plenty of room for your ideas;
  • A chance to work directly with a manufacturer, and grow together with its new subsidiary from scratch;
