Overview
We are looking for a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic / Mot tester to join our expanding team here at Xclusive Motor Services – a modern, large scale, well equipped vehicle service Mot Station based in Central Birmingham. You will enjoy overtime opportunities, free parking and much more! Training can be provided for enhancement of skills.
The company is strategically situated close to Birmingham City Centre in Digbeth and large populated areas of Birmingham. A family owned concern, it is a medium sized – main dealer like, business environment with big ambition and an alternative approach, which is really bearing fruit!
Responsibilities
- As a Vehicle Technician you will be responsible for: Servicing, repairing and maintenance on customer’s cars.
Qualifications and Skills
- Have worked in a vehicle technician, service technician or equivalent role with experience of mechanical / service repairs including servicing, tyres, alignment, and brakes.
- Experience using desktop and mobile computer, diagnostic tablet devices.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence. You must have some basic qualifications i.e.: level 1/2/3. MOT Licence would be useful, but not required for this job role.
Experience and Expectations
- As a Technician/Mechanic you will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of quality vehicles. You will perform all work quickly, efficiently and to the Manufacturers standards, identify and advise of additional work required and the rectification of faults first time.
- You will be able to work safely and efficiently to produce work of the highest standard, work well as part of a team and be able to comply with all company and manufacturer disciplines and procedures.
Hours, Location and Compensation
- Hours of work are Friday Saturday 08:00 – 5:00 (on rota, subject to variation dependant on business demand). Different work days and varying off-days may be a requirement for the future.
- Work Location: In person
- Salary: £16.50 per hour + Bonus depending on experience, plus holiday and opt-in pension.
