We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vacuum Forming Setter / Operator to join our manufacturing team in Wythenshawe. This is a hands-on role working in a busy production environment, operating high-quality Geiss and Shelley vacuum forming machines. You will be responsible for setting, running, and maintaining up to two machines at any one time, as well as supporting other machines when operators are on breaks.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up and run vacuum forming machines (Geiss & Shelley)
- Load tooling, adjust parameters, and ensure optimal machine performance
- Monitor production to ensure quality standards are met
- Inspect and trim formed parts, removing rough edges
- Carry out quality checks at set intervals
- Complete all paperwork for each setup and production run
- Report scrap, damage, and defects accurately
- Assist with covering other machines during operator breaks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
Job Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Vacuum Forming Setter/Operator
- Experience with Geiss and/or Shelley machines (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple machines
- Strong attention to quality and detail
- Understanding of production documentation and quality control
- Reliable, punctual, and safety focused
