We are currently recruiting a reliable and hardworking Timber Yard Operative with FLT to join a busy timber yard. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term employment for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a Fork Lift Truck (FLT) to load and unload timber safely
- Picking, packing, and preparing timber products for dispatch
- General yard duties, including maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Manual handling of timber products
- Assisting with stock control and goods-in/goods-out
- Working closely with colleagues to meet daily targets and deadlines
Requirements:
- Valid FLT licence (counterbalance essential; other licences beneficial)
- Previous experience working in a timber yard is essential
- Comfortable with manual handling and outdoor work
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am - 5pm
- 1 Saturday morning a month paid at overtime x1.5hrs
