Our client is a busy manufacturing site and are proud to manufacture British products for the soft furnishings sector. They are looking for an electrically biased maintenance engineer to carry out planned or reactive maintenance on a wide range of machinery in the Stockport site. They are looking for someone with past experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment and who is keen to maintain all equipment on site.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on all machinery across the site.
- Updating and keeping records of works and any new parts installed. Also planning in any maintenance and liaising with the production manager so they can plan in any downtime that may be required for maintenance or repairs.
- Working with outside contractors when specialised servicing is required and carrying out any electrical installations required.
- Conducting testing and inspections for any portable and fixed appliances.
- Work closely with apprentices and give training to the rest of the maintenance team across the sites.
- Complete all work in a safe and diligent manner and ensure all repairs and maintenance are in line with current legislation.
Job Requirements:
- Must be NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualified and have some basic mechanical knowledge.
- Ideally have PAT Testing, 18th edition and IPAF but not essential.
- Past experience in a manufacturing/distribution setting.
- Ideally drive and have your own transport to travel between sites.
Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
