Your Role

We are looking for an experienced client‑facing Project Manager within our Client Delivery team to take responsibility for delivering a variety of projects across all our products and value proposition for new and existing global clients. These clients use Xceptor to support their digital transformation across a broad range of data and process automation use cases. As a key member of the team, you will run a portfolio of projects across a spectrum of banking, capital markets, financial services, and insurance clients.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing the delivery of client implementations.
  • Participating in all phases of onboarding clients – project initiation, infrastructure enablement, product delivery, platform integration, acceptance, migration and go‑live – ensuring that all aspects of the governance framework are adhered to.
  • Working on several projects in parallel, including new Xceptor deployments, system upgrades and supporting a range of hybrid advisory/consulting services in line with our flexible delivery options.
  • Leading projects that involve high levels of collaboration, both internally and externally.
  • Working side‑by‑side with our clients, their project managers, business users and technical teams to deliver on project objectives.
  • Taking the time to understand our clients, their businesses and operations, seeing their challenges and providing insight into how Xceptor can help solve them.
  • Leading project governance from initiation through to closure, taking responsibility for planning, scheduling, executing and monitoring your projects.
  • Managing stakeholders, scope, risk, change, quality and budget, and dovetailing Xceptor’s approach with the client’s delivery practices.
  • Communicating project status internally and to clients according to agreed reporting methods, format and frequency.
  • Running project meetings from daily stand‑ups through to steering committee meetings.
  • Developing and maintaining strong product knowledge of Xceptor to act as a trusted adviser to clients.
  • Working alongside Xceptor’s technology and strategic partners to coordinate joint delivery activities, ensuring seamless integration and maximising the platform’s value.
  • Monitoring and reporting on monthly revenue performance against planned work, flagging variances and supporting timely corrective action to keep projects commercially on track.
  • Managing project resource allocation, ensuring team members are fully assigned to deliverables and effectively utilised across the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrating a strong willingness to develop product knowledge to guide clients through successful implementations while proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities to extend platform value beyond initial engagements.
  • Working closely with the PMO, providing direction and oversight on their involvement in project delivery to ensure alignment with governance, standards and reporting requirements.

Who We're Looking For

  • Proven track record of project management within a banking and/or vendor environment supplying products to banks and experience of software change projects.
  • Experience managing multiple clients and a variety of external full‑cycle projects in parallel, from initiation and planning through to go‑live and closure.
  • Working either for a FinTech software provider or a software development or implementation team within a banking or financial services organisation.
  • Strong working knowledge of project‑management governance and control frameworks.
  • Experience applying hybrid delivery approaches (Agile, Waterfall or blended) to suit client and project requirements.
  • Experience using Rocketlane or similar PSA tools.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Project and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel periodically based on client and business need (UK/Europe).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a fast‑growing FinTech company.
  • Background in a technical, business analysis or client services/support role.
  • Experience delivering or managing Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • Widely recognised project‑management qualification or accreditation.
  • Relevant degree‑level education (or equivalent).
  • Experience using development systems such as JIRA and/or Azure Ops.

Associated Values and Behaviours

  • Exceptional all‑round stakeholder management and interpersonal skills; able to effectively bring together our clients’ project teams and ours.
  • Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business, commercial and technology awareness and acumen.
  • Strong organisational skills: able to effectively manage conflicting priorities between clients and projects, coupled with good attention to detail.
  • Logical and analytical thinker with problem‑solving skills and mindset.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team and in collaboration.
  • Experience managing people on a matrixed basis.
