Registered Nurse Opportunities To £43,000 FTE (DOE & qualifications) + Company Car or £450 per month Car Allowance + Bonus + excellent benefits package including lunch allowance, RCN and NMC fees paid, private healthcare, contributory pension and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Respiratory Nurse Advisors

Are you a Practice Nurse looking to specialise in Chronic Respiratory Disease management? Hours - Full time or Part time (4 full days per week), Monday to Friday.

Locations:

  • Scotland (Central Belt)
  • Northern Ireland (Part time 2-3 days per week)
  • Somerset (Taunton area)

Our client has a nationwide team of specialist Nurse Advisors with in-depth understanding of national COPD and Asthma treatment guidelines who work closely with ICSs and GP Practices to help improve respiratory care in the community. Their Nurses share a passion for respiratory disease and can make a real difference to the patient. The Nurses become highly qualified disease management experts within asthma & COPD, sharing their knowledge, confidence and experience with patients, PNs, GPs and ICSs.

Field based with potential for some remote working from home, you will work throughout the area running respiratory review projects at GP Practices and Hospitals that have requested support. You will meet with key clinical stakeholders to agree the audit, screening and patient review processes. You will schedule a series of diary dates to ensure you can meet all review objectives including checking the audit, identifying patients to be included, running patient therapy review clinics including spirometry assessment and result interpretation, inhaler technique training and lifestyle counselling, maintaining all documentation, feeding back to the key clinical stakeholders and providing Practice Nurse training and support as required. Follow up visits are also provided to help maintain improved results.

To be considered for these exciting roles you will be a Registered Adult Nurse (RGN) that meets the following criteria:

  • Level 1 UK Registered Nurse (Adult)
  • Practice Nurse with extensive experience managing Asthma and COPD patients in a primary care setting (minimum of 3 years experience)
  • Ideally have an Asthma and/or COPD Diploma or ARTP Spirometry but not essential
  • Current UK Full Driving Licence
