We are looking for multiple first contact practitioners to provide specialist MSK physiotherapy assessment and treatment in a mixture of clinic-based settings, working as an autonomous practitioner and working in GP surgeries/primary care networks as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

You will also assist with service development and training programs.

The Role

As a First Contact Practitioner (FCP), you will work at GP practices and local NHS clinic settings.

You'll manage your own caseload, providing rapid, evidence-based assessment and triage for complex MSK conditions.

  • Autonomous First Contact: Triage and assess patients face-to-face and virtually without prior GP referral.
  • Diagnostics & Interventions: Order and interpret investigations (X-rays, MRIs, bloods) and deliver advanced clinical interventions (such as injection therapy or Non-Medical Prescribing, where qualified).
  • Collaborative MDT Working: Work side-by-side with GPs, local healthcare teams, and senior physiotherapy mentors.
  • Service & Skill Development: Participate in service improvement projects, internal training, and continuous professional development (CPD).
  • What We Are Looking For
  • Essential: Full HCPC Registration and established Right to Work in the UK without the need for Sponsorship
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of dedicated MSK experience or previous FCP/Primary Care experience highly preferred.
  • Local Commute: Based in Bristol
  • A UK driving license is preferred.
