I am working with a specialist UK property acquisition and development company - acquiring and developing assets across a variety of sectors. They work at the intersection of data, technology, and real estate, using proprietary tooling to find and execute the right deals faster than anyone else in the market.

Our Innovation & AI function was built from scratch and sits at the heart of how the business operates. It's a small, high-impact team that has already made a measurable difference - now they need to grow it.

The Innovation & AI Lead has built a strong technical foundation and a pipeline of ambitious projects. This hire is about giving that function the engineering firepower to scale - and making sure the AI Lead doesn't become the bottleneck.

This is a hands-on Python engineering role. Projects in flight and on the roadmap include:

  • A property scoring model - using machine learning to grade acquisition opportunities based on multiple data points: demographics, planning classification codes, textual property data (via LLM), and satellite imagery. The goal is to help the team triage a high volume of on-market properties intelligently.
  • An early-warning intelligence pipeline - monitoring local news sources, surfacing opportunities before they reach the open market.
  • Contact enrichment and GTM tooling - building pipelines to find and qualify operators across target sectors, using tools like Clay and custom data ingestion workflows.
  • LLM and LangChain pipelines - filtering, analysing, and enriching property and operator data at scale.
  • Salesforce development and integration - the business runs a heavily bespoke Salesforce instance (not standard objects) and needs someone who can use AI-assisted development to reduce reliance on expensive external developers.

Requirements:

  • Strong Python - clean, production-ready code you can own end-to-end
  • Solid data instincts - SQL or equivalent, pipeline design, data modelling
  • Self-directed - you ship, iterate, take ownership, and communicate clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Some commercial experience - at least 6 months to a year in a professional environment (recent graduates with strong placement/internship experience considered)
  • Machine learning model development - classification, scoring models
  • Salesforce - even at the level of being comfortable using AI tools to develop in Apex
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform
