Integration Engineer – SQL Server / Web & API Development

We are hiring an experienced Integration Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise transformation project, working across data platforms, web services, and custom APIs. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys solving integration puzzles across legacy and modern systems.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design, build, and maintain system integrations using .NET, SQL Server, and low-code platforms
- Develop and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, and transformation logic
- Build and consume RESTful and SOAP APIs
- Work with XML, XSL, and JSON formats for data exchange
- Collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams to gather integration requirements
- Own and troubleshoot integration issues to ensure reliability and performance
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of integration workflows
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience as an Integration Engineer, Software Developer, or Backend Engineer
- Strong SQL Server skills (procedures, views, table design, indexing, optimisation)
- Solid background in .NET Framework / .NET Core for API and backend development
- Understanding of JavaScript and modern web service architectures
- Familiar with both REST and SOAP API design and consumption
- Confident working with XML/XSL/JSON for data formatting and transformation
- Experience with cloud services (Azure or AWS) and API gateways
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure automation
