Overview

A major UK energy organisation is seeking a Service Architect to support the design and implementation of a new Observability Operating Model. This role will help transform a set of monitoring and AIOps tools (e.g., Elastic Cloud, BMC Helix, NetScout) into a scalable, production-ready Observability Service used across Digital Transformation teams and Business Centres of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design a scalable, production-ready Observability Service using existing tools
  • Define operational processes, KPIs, SLAs, and controls to support BAU handover
  • Integrate automation and AIOps into observability architecture
  • Collaborate with IT security to address risk and compliance (CAF)
  • Develop onboarding processes for observability in new apps and infrastructure
  • Assess and improve current service integration and governance processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience implementing observability operating models in large enterprises
  • Strong understanding of observability tools and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Knowledge of AIOps, automation, and enterprise service design
  • Excellent documentation, stakeholder engagement, and governance skills
