Security Engineer is required by a leading Quant Trading firm. This is an entry-level position and would suit a graduate with 1-3 years of commercial security experience who is looking for a move into a security engineering-focused role. The ideal candidate will have a degree in technology and/or a cybersecurity-related subject and possess an eagerness to learn all aspects of security engineering. Extensive training and development will be provided. The package includes a highly competitive salary and an exceptional annual bonus.
Duties:
- Manage incoming security requests and operational tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Execute day-to-day security tasks such as permission management, firewall rule updates, and access provisioning and deprovisioning
- Collaborate with internal teams to support identity and access management and ensure adherence to security policies
- Maintain and improve documentation for security operational procedures
- Identify and contribute to opportunities for automation and process optimisation
- Support continuous improvement of operational efficiency and control effectiveness
Please note: this is predominantly an office-based role so would suit someone within commutable distance of central London.
