We are currently supporting a client looking for 2x experienced PostgreSQL DBAs to join a business-critical AWS cloud programme. This is a hands-on operational DBA role focused on maintaining platform stability, performance, and availability within a live production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain AWS PostgreSQL databases
- Monitor database performance and platform health
- Identify and resolve performance issues proactively
- Carry out database optimisation and housekeeping
- Reduce technical debt and improve operational stability
- Communicate risks, issues, and service impacts to stakeholders
Required Experience
- Strong PostgreSQL DBA experience
- AWS cloud experience (RDS PostgreSQL / Aurora preferred)
- Performance tuning and database optimisation
- Production/live environment support
- Monitoring and incident management experience
- Active SC Clearance
