RF & Wi-Fi Planning & Optimisation Engineer is required by a leading technology consultancy to assist in the delivery of an RF and Wi-Fi project at a leading financial services organisation.

Network Design & Planning: Develop comprehensive RF & Wi-Fi network plans to achieve optimal coverage, capacity, and quality utilising various wireless technologies across a global enterprise/campus environment. Utilise RF planning tools like Atoll, Planet, and NetAct for site selection, frequency planning, and interference analysis. Utilise tools like Ekahau AI Pro, NetSpot, AirMagnet Planner, and Acrylic WiFi Heatmaps for Wi-Fi planning.

Coverage & Capacity Analysis: Perform detailed RF propagation modeling and prediction for system planning. Analyze and interpret RF data to create actionable insights for network optimization.

Site Surveys & Audits: Conduct site surveys to assess and enhance network performance. Perform TSSR surveys and audits to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Optimization & Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance, identify issues such as low coverage areas or high interference, and implement solutions to enhance user experience and network efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure network plans comply with local and international regulations and standards. Prepare and submit necessary documentation to regulatory authorities.

Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports outlining RF planning strategies, designs, and optimization recommendations.

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. A Master's degree in RF Engineering or related specialization is preferred. Typically 5-10 years of experience in RF planning and optimization. Experience with mobile network operators, equipment vendors, or consulting firms is advantageous.

Skills: Strong knowledge of wireless network design principles and tools. Proficiency in RF planning software such as Atoll, Planet, or iBwave. Proficiency in Wi-Fi planning using tools such as Ekahau AI Pro, NetSpot, AirMagnet Planner, and Acrylic WiFi Heatmaps. Familiarity with 2G/3G/4G/5G/Wi-Fi network technologies and protocols. Ability to analyze and interpret RF data for network optimization.

This is a 6 month outside IR35 contract with scope to renew.
