Datacentre Network Engineers are required by a leading network consultancy that specialises in datacentre transformation. Due to a significant period of growth, the firm is now looking to hire several Datacentre Network Engineers to design, build and run modern DC networks within financial markets environments.
The role/s would suit experienced DC Engineers looking to move to an organisation that will provide a broader, more client-focused remit or Engineers at the beginning of their DC career looking for a firm that will support their professional and technical development.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build and operate spine-leaf (Clos) datacentre fabrics based on Cisco and Arista technologies
- Deploy and run VXLAN/EVPN overlays, including multi-tenant VRF segmentation
- Manage the routed underlay (BGP, OSPF or IS-IS) with ECMP and fast failover
- Plan capacity, oversubscription ratios and scale-out of leaves and spines
- Deliver resilient server connectivity using MLAG/vPC and LACP
- Carry out upgrades and maintenance without service impact (traffic draining, staged rollouts)
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Layers 1-7 and lead root-cause analysis
- Build and maintain network automation (Python, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines)
- Implement monitoring and streaming telemetry
- Integrate firewalls, load balancers and security controls into the fabric
- Produce designs, runbooks and change documentation
