Our client is a high-growth consumer technology business, and they’re hiring a Staff Analyst into one of the most senior individual contributor roles in their analytics team. You’ll work across their commercial, product and operations teams, with genuine autonomy, a seat at the table with senior decision-makers, and the chance to shape how analytics drives a business operating at scale. This role is far more than writing queries and maintaining dashboards. You’ll take on messy, undefined problems and see them through from first spotting the opportunity to building the robust data foundations that keep delivering value. You’ll sit alongside senior leaders as a trusted advisor, and your technical credibility and sound judgement will shape the decisions they make. You’ll also raise the standard of everyone around you by coaching a strong group of analysts. If you’re a proactive, forward-thinking analyst who wants to work on problems with real influence in a large customer base, this is a chance to have a lasting impact.

Set the direction: Define analytical priorities and lead major initiatives that support the business’s long-term goals. You’ll find the opportunities that matter most, bring clarity where things are uncertain, and put the case forward in senior discussions.

Take full ownership of complex work: Run large analytical projects from the initial idea through to delivery. You’ll shape the plan, bring senior stakeholders along with you, and work through technical uncertainty without losing pace.

Advise and persuade: Act as a trusted voice for leadership. You’ll present to senior audiences, adapt your message to whoever is in the room, and use evidence to settle disagreements and bring people together.

Raise the technical bar: Write fast, well-structured SQL and Python, and lead the design of scalable data pipelines and workflows with tools such as dbt. You’ll set the standards for code quality, analysis and system design across the team.

Develop others: Coach and guide fellow analysts, spot where skills or domain knowledge need strengthening, and help build an environment where people keep learning.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strategic thinking: You can link analytical work to wider business goals and deliver results that benefit several teams at once.
  • Delivery at scale: You’ve led big, complex programmes of work independently, planned across multiple quarters, and handled urgent, high-stakes priorities.
  • Strong technical command: You’re fully self-sufficient in SQL, Python, data pipeline tooling such as dbt, and analysis, and can design solutions that are scalable and built to last.
  • Leadership and influence: You’ve mentored analysts, built strong relationships with senior stakeholders, and can win people over while encouraging open, constructive feedback.
  • A sense of ownership: You go beyond finishing tasks. You look for opportunities, introduce better tools and approaches, and set the example for the wider analytics community.
