Our client, a global fintech, is looking for a Lead Analyst to own the analytics behind how it measures, monitors and controls payment risk.
The role
- Own the Key Risk Indicator framework, with thresholds that reflect risk appetite.
- Own the data behind reconciling bank balances and customer funds.
- Spot emerging trends early to prevent financial loss and stay compliant.
You will work directly with internal and external auditors and risk partners to test whether controls are effective. You will show them through data how those controls have performed. You should be comfortable in audit conversations and able to give stakeholders evidence-based assurance.
About you
- Strong SQL and data pipeline skills (dbt preferred but not essential), with the ability to design new data models independently.
- A quantitative background, and confidence with Looker, Power BI, Tableau or similar.
- Clear communication, and the ability to turn data into persuasive narratives for senior stakeholders.
- Nice to have: payments or fintech experience, risk analytics or control assurance, and Python.
